Jennifer McNeil Photography – Orange County Maternity & Newborn Photographer
Renewed Focus on New Website
This month Jennifer and I have been really focused on her building a new website to share all the wonderful images of her maternity photos and newborn baby images with possible clients and pregnant mothers-to-be. Building the website has been a long task and we are excited to launch it this month. Jennifer McNeil Photography will be more focused on maternity and newborn photos than her previous sites in the past. The photo galleries are updated with the best and most recent maternity photo sessions and we have updated the frequently asked questions and session planning information to be very helpful.
As a maternity photographer, Jennifer prides herself on being able to work closely with pregnant mothers to be attentive to their wishes, wants and desires. She makes her clients feel at ease during the photo shoot and allows them to shine in-front of the camera. She creates beautiful images of mother-hood in any location, be it at the beach, local park or in the photo studio. Maternity photography is the art of capturing the glow and happiness of being pregnant and Jennifer does such a good job that her reviews on these sessions are all 5 stars. Trust Jennifer to take your maternity photos and you won’t go wrong.

Jennifer’s favorite session is newborn baby photos. It can be in the hospital, in studio or in home, any way it happens, seeing those little feet and hands all wrapped up and wrinkly is such a joy to capture. These precious first few weeks go by so fast, within 4 weeks newborns change so much in their feeding schedule, sleeping schedule and development. It is best to preserve these slices of time with newborn photography by Jennifer McNeil. Newborn photos are best done in a controlled environment for sound, lighting and temperature to soothe the baby into a very sleepy state. That allows for re positioning and re-wrapping to create multiple looks and styles to let the parents choose from to hang on the walls. So many times have parents said they wished they did newborn photos of their first born during the session of the second sibling. Treasure your new baby for a lifetime with newborn photos by Jennifer McNeil Photography.

The beginning of this post should be from last night when Jenn and I went out for sunset photos of Dublin sights and the river Liffey. It was a fun night with more traditional Irish songs and food and of course more beer! The photos were spectacular with Jenn’s great techniques. We had a fun night and turned in early for a good nights sleep… or so we thought. The other roommates were out so late they didn’t sleep in the room, but grabbed their gear and ran to the airport for a 6am flight.
The following morning started with a wrong turn from our cabbie to Avis not Hertz. We finally got our car and Jenn drove on the left side of the road for the first time, on purpose. It was a nice drive up north to Northern Ireland. Yes it is a separate country, it is a providence of the UK. On our drive we went to Tolleymore Forest Park and then lunch in a small farming village. The big highlight was when we went to take photos of a fantastically beautiful road called The Dark Hedges. We and five other groups of people took photos, but only we had a tripod to get in the photos ourselves. Then we hurried over to the first B&B, Beulah Guest House, in Portrush along the Antrim coast. The inn keeper is a wonderful woman, Rachel. She gave us a great recommendation for dinner at 55 degrees north. Dinner hit the spot. After dinner, Jenn and I went to Giants Causeway to see the spectacular hexagonal rock formations found no where else in the world. Although there was no sunset to see, we did get some pretty shots, I think.
Back at the Inn now, it is so nice to feel at home while on vacation. Looking forward to a delicious home cooked breakfast. This is the first B & B we have ever stayed – and it’s a great one!
Beer count up to 14, go us! =)

What can I say about Scott Land? www.scottlandphotography.com I feel that the 3 of us (Scott, Jenn and myself) have spent enough time together over the past few weeks to not jsut have a professional relationship but a good friendship.
I first met Scott at a bridal expo in Newport Beach. He had a photo booth he was including in his packages. Jenn loved the photo booth idea. When we got engaged we thought of some of our friends who could shoot the wedding, but really wanted them not to be working that day. We contacted Scott and hired him the day we met for lunch. He was our 1st interview and the one we wanted to shoot our wedding. As luck would have it, he had Oct 16th open. I am sure that if he was busy that weekend, we might have had to reschedule the wedding.
Scott me with us several more times for brain storming and walk-throughs of photo sites. All in all I am sure we met up with him 6 or more times. Each time we felt more open and comfortable with his style of shooting and fun ideas. Being photographers ourselves we knew some fun shots too and bounced ideas off of each other.
The day of the wedding him and his 2nd photgrapher John, did an amazing job. I am very impressed with the photos so far. Scott got some great angles of the ladies and John had some fun shots with the guys. I can’t believe that he threw his camera in the air to get some photos of the big group of us. The fun the wedding party was having was because of Scott’s fun photo ideas and wedding party’s willingness to do slightly crazy things.
At the reception Scott excused himself for a short time to edit some photos to put up on a 22″ iMac he brought. It was fun to show the wedding guests the early day prep and other angles of the ceremony. I can’t wait to see the reception photos. After the night was over and he was off the clock, we sat down with him in Salt Creek Grille. He had a fun full day with Jenn and I. We felt the same. It was a great day, awesome photos and I hope to use him in the future for my great photo session ideas. Anyone know of a large water fountain to re-create the opening credits of FRIENDS?
I am more than happy to provide a glowing referal for Scott. If you want to use him for your event photography, go to www.scottlandphotography.com
