Babymoon!!! TAHITI

This trip has been THE most relaxing, refreshing, healing vacation of my life.  Last week I was in excruciating pain, unable to get out of bed without help or hurt, and today I feel like a new woman.  Our Tahiti babymoon could not have come at a better time.

So what was so amazing here?  Everything!  First – WATER.  I love the water and being in the ocean or the pool makes every bit of tension in my body melt away.  Snorkeling was incredible and we were able to go out into the ocean directly from our overwater bungalow – it doesn’t get much easier than that.  Most of our days were spent entirely at our hotel – the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort and Spa.  I woke up about 5:30am each day and walked to the gym for yoga.  It is very pleasant outside even at 6 in the morning.  Upon my return, Jeff and I snuggled in bed a bit before hopping into the ocean for an hour of swimming and snorkeling.  Following a shower, we made our way to buffet breakfast then back to the room for more lounging around.  The afternoons were spend by the pool, then to cool off we would venture back into the AC and maybe out for another snorkel adventure.  Dinner, dessert, and in bed to relax by 10.  So simple, so relaxing.

We did spend one day circling the island in our rental car.  Highlights included the beautiful Vaipahi Water Gardens, Plage de Maui, the Arahoho Blowhole, Venus Point and of course, McDonalds.  It rained most of that day but made for good adventure and was an excellent day to be spending in the car.

I feel so lucky to have had this experience and hope I can take what I have learned about true relaxation home with me.

Here are the quick pick highlights of our trip:
